In a now viral interview shared on X formerly known as Twitter, 30 year notable Entrepreneur Mario Nawfal had a very special guest. President Paul Kagame, who sat in a in-depth interview with Mario Nawfal, accused weeks ago CNN of selectively editing his previous interview with the network's exclusive sit-down with him to fit a predetermined editorial stance.

Nawfal's interview could be seen as a response to what Stephanie Nyombayire, spokesperson for the Rwandan presidency, shared remarks that she said were omitted from the published version of the interview with CNN’s Africa correspondent Larry Madowo aiming to address allegations that Rwanda is supporting the M23 rebel group, which recently intensified fighting against Congolese forces and controls two Major cities in the Kivu Region.

Nawfal's interview with President Paul Kagame highlights Rwanda recoverying from a planned campaign of mass murder occured in 1994 with the Tutsis Genocide. Mario Nawfal and President Paul Kagame analyzed during the interview the roots of the DR-Congo conflicts between the M23 and Congolese forces.

According to a report by U.N Experts Rwanda is supporting the M23 rebel group in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The name from an agreement signed by the Kinshasa and a former pro-Tutsi militia on the 23rd of March 2009.

The presence of the Rwandan Defence Forces (RDF) in DRC is estimated at least between 3.000-4.000 troops (equivalent to a brigade and supplied by two Rwandan regular divisions), fighting alongside the M23 group.

On the other hand, the United States imposed sanctions on a Rwandan government minister and a senior member of an armed group for their alleged role in the conflict in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
